Compare credible work routes, verify employers and search official vacancy services before you trust a recruiter, pay a fee or send sensitive documents.
How to use this page
Use the route, employer and offer as three separate checks. Passing one does not automatically pass the others.
1. Confirm the route
Check the official permit, occupation, salary, qualification and language rules for your destination.
2. Verify the employer
Use an official sponsor, accreditation or business register where one exists. Match the legal name to the offer.
3. Test the offer
Confirm duties, pay, location, hours and immigration support in writing. A vacancy is not yet a sponsored offer.

Official places to search and verify
Start with official registers and public employment services. Use private job boards only as an additional search channel, never as proof that sponsorship exists.
Verify who made the offer
Confirm the employer’s legal identity and, where the route requires it, sponsor or accreditation status.
Verify what the offer can support
Check the exact permit, eligible occupation, salary and family rules. Employer registration alone is not enough.

United Kingdom
Licensed worker sponsors
Check whether an organisation is licensed and which worker routes it can sponsor.
A licence does not mean every vacancy is sponsored.
Netherlands
IND recognised work sponsors
Search the monthly public register for employers recognised to use the Highly Skilled Migrant route.
Match the legal name and KvK number.
New Zealand
Accredited employer list
Check whether an employer can hire through the Accredited Employer Work Visa system.
The list is updated daily; some employers opt out of publication.
Canada
Non-compliant employers
Check whether an employer has been penalised or banned from hiring temporary foreign workers.
Also request the LMIA or LMIA-exempt offer number required for your case.
Australia
Australian Business Register
Use ABN Lookup to confirm that the legal business exists and that its registration is active.
An active ABN proves identity, not sponsorship approval.
Finland
Finnish company check
Migri directs applicants to the Business Information System when checking whether an employer is registered.
Confirm the permit route separately with Migri.

Canada
Job Bank for foreign candidates
Jobs specifically marked as open to candidates outside Canada, with immigration and credential guidance.
Use the international-candidate marker before applying.
Germany
Make it in Germany jobs
Federal Employment Agency listings and high-demand fields for international professionals.
Check recognition and the correct residence title.
Ireland

Compare each role with permit and occupation-list rules.
Denmark

A vacancy must still fit a SIRI work scheme.
Norway

UDI normally requires a concrete qualifying offer.
Finland

English-language roles aimed at international talent, including non-EU applicants.
Some roles face labour-market testing; specialist permits do not.
Australia

Check sponsorship and occupation eligibility separately.
Europe
EURES
The European Labour Authority network for vacancies, job fairs and living-and-working guidance.
EURES access does not remove non-EU work-permit requirements.
A public job advert, licensed sponsor or accredited employer is only a starting point. The employer must still choose you and complete the immigration steps required for your exact role.
Before you rely on a job or sponsorship claim
Most work-abroad fraud aimed at Nigerians starts with an attractive vacancy and a small initial fee.
- Never pay an employer, recruiter or agent to give you a job or issue a sponsorship certificate.
- Match the employer’s legal name, domain, address and registration details across independent official records.
- Check whether the occupation and salary qualify on the official immigration source, not only on the advert.
- Ask what the employer will submit: sponsor certificate, LMIA, nomination, accredited-employer job check or another formal step.
- Confirm family rights separately. A worker’s permit does not always give a spouse an unrestricted right to work.
- Keep passports, certificates and bank details private until the employer and route have both been verified.
