Nigerian Document Legalization for Brazil

Check whether the receiving authority or consular service requires prior verification, notarization or Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs authentication for this document. If MFA authentication applies, use its current submission process and confirm the fee before paying.
Confirm the responsible Brazilian post before submission
Brazil has an Embassy in Abuja and a Consulate-General in Lagos. The Lagos post says applicants needing document legalization must apply through e-Consular Lagos. Confirm which post has jurisdiction over the place of issue and the current service steps before submitting the original. An embassy address alone is not a legalization instruction.

- Choosing Abuja automatically. Check the responsible Brazilian post first. Lagos publishes an e-Consular legalization channel, and the post can confirm what prior Nigerian certification it will accept.
- Skipping or mistiming the translation. Do it in the form and language the receiving authority specifies, at the right stage.
